A picture of me and my darling Kathye

The Swordsman was born in the State of Arizona in 1970, and was mundanely named Geoff. By the time The Swordsman entered elementary school, he was wielding sticks against multiple children around his neighborhood, and winning.

At the age of ten, The Swordsman's family picked up and moved to the wonderful paradise known as California, where he continued to refine the techniques he had naturally acquired in earlier years. From the time he moved to California and graduated from Claremont High School in 1988, he had moved five times around the Orange County area. After graduation he worked for a year or so with his father in the family real estate business while attending Fullerton College. In the summer of 1990, Sadam Hussein invaded the country of Kuwait and the United States came to their rescue.

Feeling a sudden surge of patriotism, (not to mention testosterone), he left the family business and joined the U.S. Army. While in basic training, Operation Desert Storm was initiated and the great war that was to be the mother of all battles ended quickly. Instead of going off to fight the great fight, he was instead sent to the Republic of Korea, (that's the southern one for all of you geography losers), and was stationed at Yongsan Garrison in Seoul. After spending two wonderful years there he was sent to Vicenza, Italy where he finished off his enlistment.

Where is he now?

The Swordsman is currently living in Orange County and in between working full time as a Systems Administrator at Falcon Lock, trying to go to school, working in the California National Guard, designing awesome web pages, spending time with his wonderful girlfriend, (who is still trying to figure out what she sees in him), and working on his international modeling career; he maintains The Swordsman's Academy of Self-Defense and sword fights as much as possible. He can currently be found fighting with the Adrian Empire, sometimes the SCA, and frequenting as many Renaissance Faires as possible, under the name of Gerhard Lagersuufer.
